1. Start with a mind mapping tool
Picks a mind mapping program or your favorite pen and a piece of paper and gets ready to start writing. Write your headline in the middle and add your points as the sibling.
I am using FreeMind, a cool mind mapping tool which helps me to create and expand my ideas.
This technique will really help you to organize your ideas and write a compelling post.
2. Make your Post Useful
Write a post that is very informative, inspiring, entertaining and making someone’s life better. Don’t publish it until you feel it useful .
Research your topic and find anything new or spectacular about the topic. People listen to you if you’re taking about something fresh.
3. Personalize your writing
You always like to get attention from your readers whenever you write something. For that, you must ensure they fully understand your writing as well as they read the complete information you have provided.
Whenever you are writing, visualize your reader in mind. So you can give them what they want.
Spend some time formatting your post for readability. Some of the best practices to improve readability are :
- Add bulleted lists .
- Add excerpts using block quotes.
- Break up long paragraphs into smaller chunks.
- Remove all spelling and grammatical errors
4. Share your opinion
Your reader will trust you if you have a quality opinion about something. Use your expertise to write bold and your interesting opinions about the topic will get attention.
5. Write Magnetic Headlines
A headline is the most important part of any article. Your headline will either keep people reading what you have to say, or send them away.

6. Tell stories
Stories are memorable and shareable. Tell the right story to capture attention, entertain, and enlighten your readers.
7. Visual appeal
Includes an eye-catching image or a well-designed diagram to make your post more appealing.
8. Engage your readers
Ask your readers something to do next. It could be
- Ask them to read some other post on your site.
- Ask a question.
- Apply a lesson.
- Share the post.
- Comment, etc.
