How Amazon Native Ads work
With Amazon native ads, you can give the best and relevant recommendations to your reads.
This time, you can easily create a list using ‘native shopping ads’ option and give your reader some best recommendation.
There are three kinds of native shopping ads.
Recommendation ads work almost like the contextual ads. They show the best products based on your visitor’s search.
The ad unit identifies keywords in your content and picks the relevant products from the Amazon catalog. You can choose the categories if you want to show the ads from that specific category.
If you selected interest-based ads, the ad unit might also show product recommendations based on what your visitors may be interested in.
You also have the option to specify fallback products by choosing search key phrases. If Native Shopping Ads are unable to provide enough relevant recommendations to display on your page, it will either reduce the shown products or not show the ad unit.
You can also select the size of the ad unit. There are two options like responsive, or custom size. Responsive ads mean it will adjust the size by its own depend on the space.
If you choose the custom size, you can have the open to select how the ad is being displayed, ie in one row or two rows.
Search allows you to specify search phrases and categories to drive product recommendations using Amazon search. Your visitors can either click on any of the displayed products or type in a different search phrase in the search box to land on Amazon search results page.
Custom allows you to choose a number of products from Amazon and create a list and promotes within your web pages.
Using this option, you can easily create a list of your favorite products or the best seller products for your visitors.
The actual number of products displayed depends on the space available on your site. By default the ad unit is responsive. However, if you choose to specify a custom size, the least width and height shall change depending on whether you want to display one or two rows of product recommendations.
The advantage of using Amazon Native ads
Amazon’s one of the biggest drawbacks are its low commission. They pay only 4% of its affiliate for every valid sale. But after using amazon native ads I can see a big improvement in my sale, almost double.
After using Amazon native ads on my site, I recommended more related products through its custom ads. This makes more than one sale from each customer.
Amazon pays 6% if you generate more than 6 sales in a given month.
