YouTube Channel Explained
A channel is the personal space on YouTube, and it shows the account name, public videos and any other user information associated with that account.
You can easily organize and manage your videos through channels. Every YouTube account is associated with a default channel, and you can create multiple channels for the same account .
For example , if you are running two blogs, say cooking and fashion and making videos for each topic, YouTube allows to create and organize it under two different channels .
How to Create a YouTube Channel
Your YouTube account is same as the Google account . Got to youtube.com and login with your Google account. Click on my channel on the left side of your dashboard.
If you have no channel, it will prompt you to create one. You can create a channel with the name associated with Google account, or you can have the option to create a channel in your business name.
If you are creating personal videos , you can go for the first option otherwise create a channel with your business name. Carefully choose the channel name.
For each channel, there is a default Google+ page created with the same channel name, and you can change the channel name in that Google+ page.
Adding Content to YouTube Channel
Once you created a YouTube channel , upload some high-quality videos created by yourself . Click on the upload button on the top right corner of your channel dashboard.
After uploading, you can have options to give perfect definition and tags to your videos. This will increase your video visibility in search results.
You can easily track your channel data from your channel dashboard.
Creating YouTube Videos

While creating a video, make sure that you have no copied content or music .
Growing Your Channel
Once you have created a YouTube channel , You need to
- Regularly upload videos to hold your audience. People likely to subscribe if you add content regularly.
- Maintain an uploading schedule as much as possible.
- Make sure that you add suitable tags to your videos and also describe your videos with proper key words .Which helps people to find your video from YouTube searches.
